Have You Ever Dreamed...

...of stepping into the world of your favorite book? And if you have, have you ever wondered what would happen while you were there? Would your actions change the outcome of the book or would you be a harmless observer? That is the story of the movie I just watched "Lost In Austen".

If you plan on seeing it, which I highly suggest you do, you might want to stop here.

Amanda Price loves Pride & Prejudice. She has read it so many times she can, as she says, hear the words of it in her head. She can see it and feel it like it is part of her. It is so much a part of her she wants that for her life, the manners and love and life within the pages.

Then after turning down the drunk and very unromantic proposal of her boyfriend she meets in her bathroom Elizabeth Bennet who has found her way there through a secret door that leads from the Bennet home of Jane Austen's novel into Amanda's flat.

All kinds of crazy takes place when the 2 young women switch places. It begins to change the novel that Amanda so loves. Elizabeth is not there to meet Darcy, Bingley has eyes for Amanda at the dance where he should have met and fallen in love with Jane who then ends up married to Collins!!! Oh my!!! Amanda says things I would guess most every fan of the novel and/or movies has wished they could say to the characters within.

The characters begin to take on a life of their own beyond the words on the page and Amanda learns that there is more to them and to herself. They become living breathing beings and grow too large to ever be put back into a book. It is a joy to behold for example Mrs. Bennet become what Amanda rightly calls "Bloody marvelous" and causes Mr. Bennet to declare he will come sleep in their bedroom with her that very night.

Things begin to fall into place the way they were meant to be with a small twist.

I fell in love with this movie!!!!
